| Quite Bright | Bryant is a great place if you want to get a solid business degree and have a high paying job after graduation-with out having to work too hard, and doing more than your fair share of partying. You can tell the type of place Bryant is as soon as arriving to campus- guards greet you, the property is manicured and the parking lot is filled with brand new cars. The studentbody, though culturally diverse are generally white uppermiddle class snobs who spend their time lounging on the lawn, planning theme parties-or shopping with daddy's credit card. You will love it here if you are interested in business for money, and college for partying your face off. Bottom Line: They should change the name to Bryant Country Club- you will enjoy yourself here and you will not want to leave, but when you do- you'll be looking at at 6 figure paychecks. | Education Quality: A+, Innovation: C | | | |

I love Bryant! Yes it is a business school but you should know that coming in. I find that the campus politicaly diverse and is working on becoming racialy diverse as well. It may not be perfect as a large University in a large city is but the school is taking steps to get that way. The night life is so much fun, not a back back school a very big party school but also has great programs like Bryant@Nite for students who arn't into the party scene.
It is very easy to get involved on campus and the faculty are friendly and approachable. Because it is such a small school you see the President at brunch or the same kids walking to class each day. Yes cliques are formed but they are formed at every school, everyone has their own group of friends its just the way it works. I would say most students are willing to make new friends and try to be involved. This school's academics challenges you and gives you real world experience. They encourage questions and projects and academic internships. | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Surrounding City: C+

I know some students enjoy their time at Bryant, but I absolutely hate it. Basically, you either love or hate it. Bryant expanded its education from simply business to business and liberal arts. It's a university now. But this is merely a title, because the liberal arts education at Bryant is ridiculous and very terrible. It still is a small business school, regardless of the "university" at the end of its name. If you love business and want to pursue that in your life, go to Bryant. It's small, the business classes are good, faculty is distinguished, you'll do well. It's the perfect school for a certain type of student.
I'm not that kind of student. I orginally wanted to be a Communications major. I chose Bryant because it had a good Comm program. However, in this very business-focused, money-focued, career-focused school, I soon realized I did not want to study Comm, business, or anything related to it. I love art. I want to study different social sciences. I want to get involved in an active theater program. Bryant doesn't have any of this. When I tried to look at other majors, there weren't any options. It is a school for people who are very focused and do not want to explore other areas of study. Sure, they're developing new majors, but I'm in school now and can't wait for a better, more liberal arts Bryant.
Basically, if you enjoy business, a small, homogenous environment in a small town, definitely check out Bryant. It would be a good fit.
But, if you want options and want to explore different majors and explore different aspects of yourself without such a strong focus on business and high-paying careers, DO NOT go to Bryant. If you love the arts like music, art, or theater and wish to make those things part of your college experience (not to study, but to get involved in extra-curricularly), DO NOT go to Bryant. If you value a liberal arts education with a wide variety of English, history, psychology, etc classes, DO NOT go to Bryant.
And socially, I must say that I was lucky to live in a suite with a group of wonderful girls. However, many left on the weekends because the social atmosphere was dismal. Small cliques are everywhere. It feels like high school. Friendly and open people are hard to find. It is a good school for some, absolutely terrible for others. I, personally, cannot wait to transfer. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Surrounding City: F
