The courses and faculty here are great.BrightFinance
The courses and faculty here are great. I didn't do too well in high school, but I am doing great here (3.7 GPA). The education is great, and you truly learn a lot. However, the social life here sucks. Most of the kids here think they're tough and cool and pregame harder than they party...they end up either crying while theyre being wheeled away on a strecher or puking in the bathroom which they leave there for the janitor to clean up. Lots of rich "dumb" kids whose parents gave them everything on a golden platter. However, there are some well rounded, smart kids here, but not enough.

Question
Bryant maintains a great-looking campus to lure inQuite Bright
Bryant maintains a great-looking campus to lure in students and parents. Once you get there, you realize you're getting a mediocre education at a very high price. I transferred after my Freshman year.

Faculty told me that the "University" was added at the President's insistence to try to lure foreign students. Foreign students are about the only students who pay full tuition rates so they want to attract them. The foreign students stayed away in droves, but the President can't admit error, so they're stuck being a "university" without most of the schools or majors that real universities have. Some of the faculty really make you think but many just ask you to memorize stuff and spout it back on an exam -- just like high school. It wasn't worth it to me.

Question
I came from a working class family withBrightSociology
I came from a working class family with the hopes of making it at Bryant. All I found was snotty, rich, and self absorbed people. Your status is determined by wealth, cars, and expensive tables and bottles bought at the hot spot bars. I felt like I was back in high school with the "cool kids" and everyone else. The superior group of endless wealth are local celebrities at this school. You will not recieve a college experience at this school or engage in any intellectual convo outside of the classroom.
