 | Bright | Salve's an average school. Academics are good but not nearly worth as much as you pay for them. You'll like Salve if you basically enjoy the idea of a practically all white, all catholic, all girl, all nursing, all rich, and private, expensive, and mediocre school. Newport is great yeah...if you have $100 spending money everyday to experience downtown. Doesn't seem like I'm open minded and unbiased, right? I read reviews about Salve being a small minded and overated school.I said to hell with it, college is what you make it. I learned the hard way. Good luck making college "your own" while surrounded by almost all condescending or confused girls 24/7, paying absurd amounts of money to live by a beach that is covered in snow half the time.... and knowing almost all of your student body by the 2nd semester. It's high school all over again, and thats what some people want, more power to you. Oh yeah the mascot is a seahawk and every male on a DIII team is convinced they're getting drafted to the NBA, MLB, or NFL. Choice is yours. | Faculty Accessibility: A, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | I don?t like much of anything about this school and that is why I am going to transfer by next year. Most the girls here are bitches who will be fake nice when they talk to you, but the minute you?re out of the room, they will talk shit about you. And most of the 2 guys you have in each class are either assholes or gay. This school is very cliquey, and so undiverese, it?s disgusting. Most people are the same here, no one dares to be different and if you are, they look down upon you. The only good thing about this school are the teachers, and in my case, the art teachers is awesome. Don?t get fooled by the pretty senery! | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Social Life: F | | | |

I am currently a senior in high school and visited Salve Regina last month. Visiting the campus, I wasn't too thrilled at all. To me, the campus is very important when I pick a school. CAMPUS:
The buildings are very spread out from each other, so be prepared to do A LOT of walking. Getting lost is also very easy - not too many people are willing to help you. I wasn't too fond of the way the buildings were spread out; I wish they were relatively closer to one another. But then again, that's just my personal preference. The buildings, on the outside, are very old, unique, and look like castles.
When visiting the Biology/Lab classrooms, I WAS NOT happy at all. The classrooms looked like middle school rooms, they were filthy, small, and messy! The equipment did not look high-tech at all, and there were more than enough fish tanks everywhere. The science teachers were not at all what I expected. They had thick, hard-to-understand accents, and seem uneducated in what they were speaking about - which could be a barrier when you learn. The library was tiny! If you've ever visited Quinnipiac, you've seen the hundreds of books and computers they offer to their students, whereas Salve had around 20. Not a fan. DORMS: The dorms were what I expected. They had a new freshman hall, which was very nice. PEOPLE: When I visited, all I saw were girls, girls, girls, and more girls - everywhere. I probably saw about 5 boys upon my three hour visit. This school lacks diversity, that's for sure. Majority of the people who attend are white and rich. Most likely their parents pay for everything. They are snobby and obnoxious. The only boys I saw from Salve were loud and rude, and acted as if they were still in high school. I saw no asians, and about two blacks visiting the school.Overall, I didn't like Salve at all. Not applying. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |
