It opens the door for some discussion about the misinterpretations of the University.

Someone needs to mention how terribly sexist this place is. Just read the bulletin. It has been recently updated to state that they do not discriminate on race, however there is no mention of discrimination based on sex. I would bet that is because it is HUGE here. When I was there, women had to wear sweat pants for athletics, but guys could wear shorts. Guys were given the vast majority of time on the athletic fields, gyms, and other campus recreational features. Guys had permission to go off campus and drive their cars, but not girls. Guys could wear jeans on Saturdays as casual wear, but women still had to wear skirs and panithose. There were only sports for the males. Girls could attend those. A female could play sports, but males were not allowed to attend and it was highly UNorganized, so it would be less than a PE class at a real school. But the attitude and indoctination of sexism there were far worse than any rules. It was horrible. Don't go here if you are a female unless it is your full intent to go to school for the only purpose of finding a husband - that is what they assume the women are there for. It's like a 50's time warp. A woman to them is just a baby factory with no identity, freedom, or mind of her own. If you want a full description of the other aspects of the university and what it is like to live on campus, just read the book of Matthew in red letters, when Jesus describes the scribes and pharisees. They are the one's Jesus warned all Christians about.

I believe I received an excellent education at BJ. Of course I don't agree with all of their opinions, but I do believe that they are simply doing what they believe to be right. I wonder why it has become such a crime to have strong beliefs and live by them peaceably. Advice to prospective students: if you don't want to live by the rules don't go there. If you do, it is a great school with a dedicated, caring faculty and staff, beautiful facilities and friendly students. P.S. there are rules when you work in corporate America- BJ gave me a head start.
