 | Quite Bright | | I was "forced" to attend BJU even though I won a complete ROTC scholarship to a real college. OK, I wasn't forced, but I was very young and sought to placate my parents who threatened me with alienation if I didn't go. Well, I went and I got alienated from my parents anyway. They completely screwed my mind up from the constant monitoring, being "told on" all the time, and appearing at the Discipline Committee for infractions like not having my top button buttoned. I actually thought that someone there would be a Christian, but I found out that most of them were role-playing just to accommodate the oppressive regime. There was always good sex and drinking there, but you had to be very careful not to get caught. Most of the academics were good, but they loaded down my schedule with all these liberal arts requirements so that gaining the essential knowledge for my field was impossible. Preferential treatment was always given to Fine Arts and to people who would talk that funny "Vesper Speak." Their bizarre idea of cultured religion has infiltrated almost every Baptist Church in Greenville and probably in a lot of other places too. Because I was not a part of the Bob Jones pipeline network of private schools, I really didn't fit in. Being ostracized coupled with the disillusionment to make for a very lonely experience. I was afraid to seek any type of counsel because I new several who did and got either campused or expelled for having defiant attitudes. I became severely introverted and depressed and nobody really gave a shit. Yeah, I learned a few things, but going there did not make my parents happy and they won't have anything to do with me now because I finally grew up and learned to make decisions for myself. It's been almost 20 years and I still have trouble coping with the pain and hurt that I encountered there. Unless you are already "one of them," you probably shouldn't consider going to BJU. | Preparedness: F, Reputation: F | | |

Epistle to everyone in the USA and the World. Chapter 1 1 Parents be aware when you send your child to the University. 2 Theirs conservatism affects negatively on your student’s ability to learn. They strictly prohibit any contact with the media. 3 From economic point of view such ideology that Bob Jones has is not good for today's business world. 4 There are too many faculty and academic advisors that are under qualified to advise the students about the University’s courses. 5 Many of them are careless toward student’s education. 6 Even though they would call themselves that they are servants but realty is that every human being is seeking benefit from others. 7 You will see some negative attitudes from the students who enrolled into University from Home schools that used the BJU curriculum program toward those students who came from the outside or public schools. 8 Faculty and some under qualified professors are very influential on your students especially when they used and talk about God. 9 It isn’t good school to send your child into. 10 They don’t tell how many former students ending up being broke making ends meet. 11 Another important decision to make that if your son or daughter will make contact with the seminary student chances are they will influence them not in the positive way. 12 The reason for that they are bit under the economic depression because the cost to attend seminary is expensive but pay-off is hard and misery in most cases. 13 God is used as means of controlling the person and as means of the blessing (money). 14 You can feel from some people and students on campus the spirit of the negativity it’s all based on the economic “well being.†15 Some requirements that students have to go through will affect them negatively. 16 Cultural differences will play dramatic impact on your college student. | Faculty Accessibility: D, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | | better than somewhere with no sex, drugs or alcohol? To top this off, I love being chaperoned on my dates, it really makes me hard! When I graduate, I'll finally get a trip to the dentist so he can clean my seven remaining teeth. To top this off, I am more convinced than ever that all gays, democrats and opponents of Rush Limbaugh will go to Hell! If you're an angry redneck like me, you will surely adore this great institution. If not, god will destroy you..ahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |
