Regardless or what people think. Central Carolina is ok. The people here are friendly and very courteous. The teachers are always available since there office hours are very resonable with email and phone numbers available. A lot of people like to believe that people that go to this school are very ignorant or stupid. Believe it or not, practically all of the students are in the military and/or married while working full-time and maintaining a 3.5 GPA on a 93-100 grading scale. These are some of the smartest people that I have ever met. Considering I am 19, I could not imagine working full-time, being married, and raising two kids while balancing out a good GPA in school. These students deserve praise.
The only thing that I can honestly say that is good about Central Carolina technical college is that it is in the same town that I live in. The staff is most concerned about how the students make them look not the quality of education that the student is receiving. In order to receive a good education from Central Carolina you must get it on your own and watch your back because if the staff members do not like you you will be harassed at every turn.
I was told by a instructor that I was performing a procedure wrong and I should refer back to my text book. I being the student looked at the text book and to my suprise I was correct. When I approached the instructor in private about the situation she would not hear anything I had to say or even look at the same book that she refered me to. This is only one of these types of expereinces that I have had since I enrolled at CCTC. If I had a chance to change things CCTC would not be my choice. Before enrolling I was warned by a graduste that I should rethink my choice I regret not taking their advice.
