I think we should be able to make an appt with guidance even after we are not freshman, sometimes if you can't get courses, I need to know how to stay on track

Welcome to being a number. Greenville Tech is a big school and they get tons of new applicants every semester and they know it. If you go to administration, you have to be firm with them and ask for things in writing otherwise they will blow you off to get to the next student. I've been to several counselors about credits and only one of them seemed to know her material or even to give a damn.

The classes are only slightly over high school level, in my opinion. I spent 2 years at Clemson University so coming to Greenville Tech felt like going back to high school almost. The curriculum was not challenging or inspiring at all. A lot of the online courses I took were full of busy work and redundancy.

Also, I would like to point out that from my experience, the people in charge of online courses (specifically Ancient World History, Art101, The101 and AHS) are not qualified to do so. In some of these classes I spent up to an hour trying to find the syllabus. Getting through classwork was like trying to figure out a puzzle (and not a fun one). I know some may roll their eyes at what I'm about to say, but I honestly believe my grandmother could handle teaching an online course better than some of these yahoos.

There are hardly any clubs at all, and even though the campus is beautiful, there is hardly ever anything fun going on. Campuses are spread out all over the upstate so if you have the misfortune of having to attend this institution beware of what campuses your classes are on and the time frame you have to get from one campus to another.Very dissatisfied with the college. If I had known ahead of time how horrible my experiences with this college would be, I would have stayed at Clemson or just quit all together.
Campus Aesthetics: A+, Education Quality: F

I took a couple of classes at GT over 30 years ago and recently sent for transcripts as I am pursuing another degree. GT sent the wrong transcripts to my new college and they included four F's as well as incompletes and withdrawals for classes I never signed up for. I addressed the president of GT Keith Miller and he basically did nothing to investigate the problem. I have spoken to other students that had the same problem with GT.The registrar even hid from me when I drove from out of state to address the problem. Make and keep copies of your transcripts. GT has an incompetent registrar. When I spoke with the president he told me that the mistakes on my transcripts would not be held against me at my new school as they were over five years old.He was wrong and they brought down my GPA.
