| Quite Bright | Professors are small time here - especially Mike Williams in the ENGLISH department - you get the idea that he could have done something big with his life, but instead he teaches at this school that really can't be considered a learning institution - they just want to add up more and more enrollment to keep the state dollars funding their jobs. So in the mean time, they seem to have lost track of what they originally wanted to do - which was educate people. And If Megan Britt is still there - avoid her classes at all costs - she threw someone out on the first day for asking a question. She's a real piece of work. Don't take her classes. Oh and if you ever have an opportunity to meet with upper management at the college, i.e. the Pres or Exec. VP - run like the wind - they don't give a damn about you - they set up those meeting to make themselves look good. Although if you want to take a really really easy English class, take Kimberly Britt's - she's as dumb as a box of rocks - a monkey with half a brain could pass her class. | University Resource Use: C+, Faculty Accessibility: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | Horry-Georgetown Tech was a great place to start my college career. I started there when I was 28, so it had been over 10 years since I had been in a classroom. It's a wonderful place for older students, and there are a lot of them there! I also think it's great for young students who are trying to figure out what they want to do or are uneasy about jumping into a large university immediately. They offer two-year degrees that transfer to 4-year programs. I graduated with an Associate in Arts degree (3.7 GPA) and now I am an Accounting major at CCU. I'm very grateful that HGTC was there or I might have been too intimidated by a larger school. I felt like I was part of a big family there! My whole experience at HGTC was positive. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | |
