Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I could not agree more with the negativeBiology
I could not agree more with the negative comments made by the other individuals who posted. Seeing that these individuals were/are in graduating classes 15-20 years after mine, One can conclude what I always suspected: The organizational bureaucracy of the school loves itself the way it is, and indeed, prides itself on its rigidity and prejudice. I don't regret attending; what I do regret is when I realized I was not a good fit and wanted to transfer I caved in to their pleas for me to stay. That was the biggest regret in my life. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I came into Wofford with high hopes ofBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I came into Wofford with high hopes of it being a collegiate paradise. I for the life of me cannot understand how it has so many positive reviews. The place is small, stuck up, and pathetic, with all the students acting more like middle schoolers rather than college kids. I was a very popular kid in high school who never had a problem making friends, yet when I came to Wofford I found it extremely difficult to meet any people worth hanging out with. The social scene is an absolute joke, with nothing but a small scale version of Greek life to keep students entertained on weekends. It got so repetitive after a while that I could only count the days until I got out. The students that go here are so fake its unbelievable. I found myself wanting to punch most of them in the face whenever I got into a conversation. I transferred last semester and am SO much happier at my new school. ALL IN ALL: Do not come to Wofford if you are a genuinely cool kid looking to have some fun while still getting a good education. This is not the place you want to make life-long friends. The academics may be very good, but the social aspect is so depressing it is not worth it.

Attending Wofford was a mistake.BrightEconomics
Attending Wofford was a mistake. It is a very small campus of about 1,450 students. The students are very conservative and close-minded. Students who are in a frat or sorority are very arrogant. If you are not in greek life, there is nothing for you to do. About 50% of the student body participates in Greek Life and there are not many activities of interest to join outside Greek Life. The city of Spartanburg is very small and lifeless. There is no where to go and nothing to do. On a Friday night at 7pm, the downtown area is a ghost town. I really did not enjoy my college experience here and I hope to transfer out as soon as possible.
