This university has no interest in educationMay 18 2012Education
This university has no interest in education. They are all about money money money. Their Financial Aid office is horrible, offering financial aid packages long after acceptances, so who could possibly chose to attend without knowing if they would get a financial aid offer? Then, the offer is only for loans. No wonder the NY Times chart shows that Belmont students have much higher burdens of debt than students attending most universities. The Provost cancels programs on a whim with no regard for admitted students. This program was cancelled 2 weeks prior to classes beginning, leaving admitted students with money wasted, time wasted, and no future plans. Belmont University SUCKS.
Question
Being a new program, they're still fishing aroundApr 23 2010Pharmacy
Being a new program, they're still fishing around trying to figure out what to do. Take the marketing material you find on the department's web site for what they are - pure advertising and promotion stuffs. Classes are unorganized. When it comes to matching course materials/ topics to students' interest, they get a D- because apparently, they want to teach student what pharmacy will be like 10 years from now, and not necessary right now. If their speculation is wrong, you guess it, that's right - you're doomed.
Question

Belmont thinks more highly of itself than it ought. There is no accountability for faculty. My worst teacher is now a dean!
