If you're not a member of your local CoC church, you won't feel welcomed here. Students are pious and self-righteous and are not tolerant of other religions. I am an Atheist, and a very reserved at that - I never give opinion or stance on religion unless I'm asked, simply to avoid conflict, however, simply stating you're an Atheist, Muslim, Hindi, or anything else outside the comprehension of red-neck bible-bashers, be prepared to be alienated from all your "friends".

Education here sucks - you have to have 30 hours of Chapel *every semester*, if you miss even ONE before the end of the semester they take away your scholarships. Make this mistake twice and they will expel you. This is a mockery of higher education where you're treated like a child in everything you do.

They separate the sexes here like it's the middle ages and holding your boyfriend or girlfriend's hand is almost taboo. None of the dorms are co-ed and they only have "open dorms" for guys about 3 times a semester. Even then it's all doors open, RA's are in your business and a bunch of annoying, horney church boys blast dubstep from their room to impress the 3 or 4 chicks who actually come. It's pathetic.

Also - this is not a challenging school. The "60% acceptance rate" is a joke, they will let anyone in. There are people here who scored lower than 23 on their ACT and were allowed in on scholarships. Don't come to LU - I'm transferring the chance I get, along with a handful of other people who don't want a useless degree.

As a commuter, it is hard to socialize with everyone since everyone on campus is in their own little social groups/frat/sorority. Despite the morals this university claims to have, some students use the christian image as a cover for the sex drugs and alcohol use. although smoking is prohibited on campus, people still smoke behind buildings all the time. it is rather irritating. some people here are very nice but some are snobby, closeminded, and arrogant. some are religious diehards as expected. a few of the students here are really intelligent and work hard. the education is not as great as it seems. i'm glad i transferred to Belmont. unless you're from a wealthy background, it is harder to fit in. people here will try to use you for your money. I hope there is a drug bust soon because there are quite a few students who do pot. some of them smoke joints behind the buildings or outside the edge of campus as to appear as if they are smoking normal cigarettes. the campus is generally safe of course since its location is fairly nice. the nursing program is okay. if it weren't for the connection to vanderbilt, it would be pretty lame.

Super Brilliant
The school is great from the outside, campus, ... but the programs are crap. I was a student in computer science, but I am telling you it's nothing, total crap. Ask any current student in CS or alumni, even some teachers that graduated from the school are complaining on how crappy were their education at lips comb. Make yourself a favor and find a better school.
