the university of memphis should not be on the top of your list of possible schools to attend. there are so many better schools. in my experience the music department is very cold and unaccepting of people. they belittle you and make you feel worthless. the faculty in the music department dont seem concerned with their students at all. instead they seem to be concerned with how knowledgeable they appear. this is not the college experience i was hoping for and i am considering changing my major. if any high school students read this my advise to you is to go to another school. university of memphis is not worth it.

The University of Memphis is a horrible school. The majority of classes I have taken have been taught by grad students. They know the material, but are not good at teaching. This school relys on grad students too much to teach the undergrad classes. Parking is a major hassle. It is next to impossible to get any information from the departments or to get straight answers. My transcripts have been lost twice since I began school. They can never get my major right. I feel that I got a better quality education in high school than at the University of Memphis. The classes are not stimulating over all and the course layout and grading system are usually unclear. I find myself not wanting to go to class and it is a chore to have to go. If I had known what a horrible school this was I would have gone somewhere else and am currently exploring my options. The school is not stimulating at all and my GPA has been falling gradually because of lack of interest in attending this school. My advise is to go to another school if at all possible and only go to University of Memphis as a last restort. The faculty is very rude and unhelpful. The tuition has been rising steadily ever since I bagan attending. The quality of education you get here is not worth your time or your money. The classes are overcrowded as well.

Quite Bright
at the University of Memphis, you are just a number...there to give them money when they demand it, for a ultra-mediocre education. this school is a joke. i didnt take my exam in one class and got a B. my friend didnt take 2 exams in upper division courses and in both classes got A's. if you are excellent with making up excuses and manipulating the system for what you want, then this school is for you. it sucks they make it so easy though. this school is horrible preparation for graduate school, and your classmates arent going to be of the brightest caliber. the only reason i attend u of memphis is because it is free for me.
