My college degree definitely helped me get my first position. I do know, however, that my college education did not provide me with the experience I needed in a particular programming language that is considered to be an industry standard. I would reccomend college students try many different things before deciding on a major. It is never too late to change majors. Get an internship! Just because you love the subject doesn't mean you will like the job. They are not the same.

Tennessee offers a fantastic college experience overall. Fairly strong academic programs and an unparalleled athletic department. A nice campus growing larger and more beautiful all the time in one of America's best college towns.

Not so bright
If you love the south, and I mean the REAL south (racism, twisted farm culture), are not concerned about grades or your job after school, and UT football (if its not football it isnt funded), then this is the school for you.If your looking for an diverse student body who take academics seriously then this is not the school for you.
