Super Brilliant
If you like to work hard, but play hard, this is the school for you. If you like the outdoors, this is also a good choice. Just make sure you come for an overnight visit to learn what the school is really like before attending.

Sewanee is mostly an experience. Don't go there expecting to spend 4 years at your average school- it will change you. The isolation can be oppressive at times, but its also a beautiful place. Also, expect to work hard. I'm not sure how things are anymore, but the grade "deflation" was difficult to deal with after graduation when competing with students from schools without such high standards. Bottom line, if you make it all the way through (regardless of the grades), you will have an excellent education.

Sewanee is a great place. High price, but they help out with money issues. If you are looking to go to a school where you will be challanged to learn then pick Sewanee. Make sure you are prepared to handle the academic course load and work. Go to your professors if you need help, they are always avaliable. Bring lots of movies and things to keep you busy, unless you are into drinking and frat/sorities, there is nothing much to do. The mountain gets boring after a while. If you would like to see diversity, then go to a state school, Sewanee is majority white, and it is noticiable. Also what you do not want the whole school to know, do not do!!! Things spread quickly since it is such a small school and everyone knows everyone else. Overall, your education is what you make out of it! Good Luck!
