Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Plus: some nicest teachers I have seen, someQuite BrightFinance
Plus: some nicest teachers I have seen, some even invite you to their home for dinners. Campus is always clean. You are given a lot of attention from the teachers.Negative: Very Very expensive, find yourself bored 80% of the time at this small city. Abilene the city itself sucks and are full of homeless people and Churchs (ironic). For finance major there are no where near to find a good place to intern. Some students are not very bright and always want you to help them with their works. A lot of girls major in graphic design, interior design and getting their Mrs. degree. People can be very close minded when comes to the world, politic, and religion.

Question
Great university for teaching and preparing students forAverageAgriculture/Horticulture
Great university for teaching and preparing students for the world outside of the ACU bubble. Innovative and cutting edge. ACU faculty are extremely accessible and helpful, something not to be found at a state school. The education was great and prepares students for graduate school. A bit expensive. The only downside was the focus on "social clubs". These clubs were similar to frats/sororities only much more obnoxious and celebrated. ACU could really do its social image a favor by ignoring these clubs. The clubs however, perform in the spring Sing Song event bringing lots of money to the school. Therefore, ACU will continue to promote social clubs because they bring money into the university. Overall: great school!

Question
ACU like every institution has many flaws.Quite BrightSocial Work
ACU like every institution has many flaws. The school is becoming more and more expensive each year with tuition being raised 8-10% yearly. There are strict rules that are enforced. Despite the negative aspects, ACU is an amazing place. If you connect with the right people you can definitely grow spiritually. There are plenty of service opportunities where you can give back to the community and help serve underprivileged populations in Abilene and actively live out your faith. Service is central to the mission of the school. Abilene isn't the most entertaining city but if you get involved and spend time with the right people you can have fun. The professors are very welcoming and encouraging. I am from Los Angeles and I will say that transitioning from a big city to a smaller town is often difficult at first but it grows on you. Get involved! Build good relationships with your professors and study!
