Do not go here! EVERY and I meanBrightPolitical Science
Do not go here! EVERY and I mean EVERY single person I met outside of ACU who goes there HATES it! The people are horrible for a "christian" school. The faculty will not help you with anything! I was working full time (over 40 hours a week) to try to afford going there and I tried talking to the professors and not one of them tried to help me. I ended up getting screwed over by that school. DO NOT GO HERE!

If you are considering going to ACU, reconsiderBrightOther
If you are considering going to ACU, reconsider your priorities. Is being in the city important to you? do you really want to go to chapel every day? do you want to "party"? questions you need to ask yourself. Questions that I thought weren't that important when I decided to go to ACU. First of all, Abilene is the most boring city I've been in, but that is also relative. There's a lot of people from the middle of no where that think that Abilene is huge. I came from the Dallas/Fortworth area so this place is a desert to me. Secondly, do you really want to have church and Jesus shoved in your face everyday? I'm a huge Christian, but also a major advocate of not shoving it in peoples faces. They force you to go to chaple almost everyday. The next thing is night life/ weekend. There is really only one bar that everyone goes to on Thursday, but that gets old after awhile (plus its a country bar). Besides that during the week days there is absolutely nothing to do.. you find yourself going to the library for fun because thats the only thing open.As for weekends it's even worse. Literally almost everyone goes home.. so you either go home too or get stuck on an empty campus.

On a different note, the people I met are really friendly. Just make sure you know what you want and what youre getting before you make a choice.

Plus: some nicest teachers I have seen, someQuite BrightFinance
Plus: some nicest teachers I have seen, some even invite you to their home for dinners. Campus is always clean. You are given a lot of attention from the teachers.Negative: Very Very expensive, find yourself bored 80% of the time at this small city. Abilene the city itself sucks and are full of homeless people and Churchs (ironic). For finance major there are no where near to find a good place to intern. Some students are not very bright and always want you to help them with their works. A lot of girls major in graphic design, interior design and getting their Mrs. degree. People can be very close minded when comes to the world, politic, and religion.
