I had a great experience at Baylor.Communications
I had a great experience at Baylor. It felt like an extension of high school, which is really what I wanted. I wanted to have the college experience. Baylor was small enough to make friends and get to know professors and the campus, but large enough to get a good education and have your university be taken seriously. I was a film major and went to work in Hollywood. I did learn from my education, but people in Hollywood don't always have degrees of any kind, so it's not entirely necessary for what I wanted to do. The economy sank the film industry and I got laid off, unable to find similar work. So if I have any issue, it's not necessarily Baylor I blame, but rather my career path.

Question
I heard lots of stereotypes and negative commentsQuite BrightBiology
I heard lots of stereotypes and negative comments from random people but heard great reviews from alumni. To be honest, I only went there because I liked their pre health program and scholarship offer. Once I went there, it changed my mind, I was blown away by friendly and helpful environment. You are home at Baylor and people around you, care about you like a family. My professors and my study group is the reason that I have acceptance for many medical schools, good GPA, solid research experience and impressive MCAT scores. Pre health advising wants to send as many students to medical schools as they can and they do everything in their power to make it happen. Waco sucks but I've grown to love the Wacoians and really enjoyed working with non profits to make Waco better. Wacoians love and value Baylor students as Baylor is a source of money and jobs for Waco. I'm not even a religious person, let alone baptist but religious classes were interesting and chaplains were very kind to all students. I know that many people wouldn't have a good experience if they want a big city, a party atmosphere or cut throat competition but most students live and value their unique Baylor experience and consider Baylor Alumni their family. By the way, Baylor alumni are a great network, they pull every string to help fellow Baylor Bears. I'm glad that I found Baylor and I'm looking forward to my time in Baylor college of medicine and then working in one of the Baylor hospitals.

Baylor University has an excellent reputation, a beautiful campus, quality instruction, and a friendly social network. Waco welcomes Baylor students, and has some of the best eating establishments in the state. You have Austin South, and Dallas North. What's not to like? Recommend it highly.
