HBU has provided the more than ideal environment for me to grow and mature as a student and young adult. The faculty and staff truly care about the well being of the student. They invest in the lives of the students academically, socially, and spiritually. Professors do not make their classes difficult for the sake of being difficult. Instead, they challenge the student in order to bring them to a level of academic excellence. HBU truly captures the small-town feeling even though it resides in a large city. It has a close knit community of friendly people. HBU provides a healthy faith-based environment which really helps students stay grounded in who they are and their purpose. Though HBU is a growing and evolving university, it remains steadfast in its traditions. I am confident that when I graduate from HBU, I will be more than just another citizen fit for the workforce. The experience that I have from HBU will not only build my intellect but also my character.

I have gone to HBU for 3 years now and wouldn't change a thing! I came to a small campus knowing that I would have a small class size and a better community. The professors are very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you. When you live on campus you can really plug yourself into clubs or organizations and I would recommend that to any student looking to come to HBU. The education program at HBU is great. I love it. You have field work basically every semester once you get into the education program so you can really experience schools and how they work. I am confident that I will find a job after graduation because HBU has such a good reputation to the surrounding school districts. (Katy ISD, HISD, ETC.) I really do like being at HBU! I would recommend any students looking for a community in college and looking for a great hands-on curriculum to go to HBU!

HBU is a wonderful school, with fantastic scholastic and social opportunities! Everyone is warm and friendly, and opportunities to grow as a person, both intellectually and spiritually are never hard to find. While HBU is not a big campus, it is exactly what I was looking for. It is not too small to be unknown, but it is not too big that I feel lost among other students and activities. If I were given a chance to attend another university I would still choose HBU. I love this school and I know it is where I need to be!
