Very disappointing experience so far. SMU took so long to process paperwork (3 months) that I missed an entire semester and then had to follow up with them (after another 6 weeks) after acceptance because they lost the paperwork - twice! I've never met an advisor but was able to register for classes and was shocked at some of the practices of professors. Take home tests, skipping classes and ending every 3 hour class after an hour to an hour and a half because they don't want to stay late during evening classes. During the latest class, students were told that if there was something on the final test they got wrong and disagreed with that they should circle the issue and it would be "fixed" for them.
There seems to be no interest in assisting students to learn and reach new heights. Not sure why but there seems to be little to no interest in teaching.
