Not so bright
TAMUCC is a great university. It's beautiful, not too big or too small, it's like goldilocks just right. I can't speak for everyone because I don't know everyones preference. As a person who majored in Communication I can say that the professors were excellent and experts in their field. You will learn and it will be challenging just like education should be. I will admit that Communication is not the hardest major but I love to talk and to meet new people so this was the major for me. I also minored in Marketing. I found that business students are a lot less approachable and less involved. This is because the business students aren't happy. They are learning things they don't care about but assume that with a business degree that they will land a high paying job. Don't make the mistake that these students are making, choose a major you would excel at and would want to participate in. My girlfriend is graduating with a teaching degree in math and interdisciplinary studies 4th -8th grade. She hated one of the calculus professors that made them buy a book that they didn't even use. Other then that this school is perfect for new teachers, it has a elementary and day care center called The Early Childhood Development Center. Students get hands on experience and usually find jobs right out of college. TAMUCC is great and Corpus is awesome if you love to go to the beach, meet beautiful girls, believe me this city is small but has more pretty girls then most big cities. The campus is 60% girls! But what makes Corpus Christi even better is the fishing. People from all over the world come here to fish. If you have never fished before I suggest you learn, It will help you meet friends and bond or just relax with a beer after finals.

Professors are Incompetent and petty and the few decent professors get chased off. This school does nothing to prepare you for the real world, much less prepare you for graduate school. Unfortunately there isn't much else to choose from in South Texas, but if you are coming from someplace else plan to go here, DON'T!

Even though, I've lived in Corpus almost my whole life. I relate better with people in Austin and Houston. Corpus has a strong low income background. Everything is about money. If you want to do something with your degree than the family business, people think full of it or stupid. It's mostly first generation business and poor people.
