Texas A&M at Galveston is one of onlyQuite BrightOther
Texas A&M at Galveston is one of only six maritime academies. If seeking a well-paying career, then marine transportation is a great major to consider. There is also marine biology and marine science. They are fun majors, especially since the campus is right on the ocean.

The campus is not a pretty sight to see. The only thing that makes it exciting is that it is located on it's own little island, surrounded by water. Semi-nice beaches are close by. The buildings and dorms are just concrete facilities. The dorms are way over priced for what you get. They are not cozy at all. They are, however, in the process of building new corp dorms. They just built some new non-corp dorms a few years back, but they are too expensive for the size.

The marine transportation department's administration will attempt to screw you out of as much money and time as they can. They are all power and money hungry, and get their fun out of making students lives miserable. The school's ship, the General Rudder, is falling apart. Don't believe all the fairy tails you hear from those in charge about how great this program is. They are lies. Everyone here is treated like beaten down dogs, and are thought of as no more than a dollar sign. Do not come here.

I'm a Marine Biology major, i've been inBrightEngineering Department
I'm a Marine Biology major, i've been in TAMUG for 2 years now and I love the amount of work they give us at the classes, they made us really busy with all the homework's and assignments ..

the instructors are not easy but thats a PLUS cuz that made me study harder and revere the material more and keep seeking for knowledge all the time.

believe me the learn way is a hard way and if you wanna get something easy don't come heresometimes we go to review classes after the class hours and last semester we stayed until 11:45 PM with the instructor.
