I have really enjoyed my past three years at TAMUG. I am an enthusiastic sailor and surfer and I would not want to be anywhere else. I did not grow up by the ocean but now I don’t think I can leave. Another point to be noted is the shipping industry. My specific study deals mainly with ocean transportation, and to anyone considering taking this route the careers in the shipping industry have never been brighter.

If you want to go into the maritime field Texas A&M is for you. You can either sail or stay shore side. The faculty is very approachable and helpful. Join the Propeller club the contacts that you make there are invaluable. The campus may no be as beaustiful as others but remeber it is designed to withstand hurricanes. I wold rather be safe than pretty. For the people that want to be in this industry this college is great.

Average
I really enjoyed going to school here. The atmosphere is what you make it. I see a lot of students that are just in a state of "passing through". I see a lot of students that spend the time there with ethisiasm. There are a few 2%ers that wish to have nothing to do with the school.

The faculty is helpful if you chose to be helped. They can't fix what they don't know is broken. Some expect more than is possible but most are good.

The campus is not the prettiest but there are plans to be changed. There is nothing like waking up and seeing the ocean.

My advice, don't let those who have bad experience detor you from a fantastic university. Plus, being an Aggie is what is all about. The traditions, the opportunites, the ring, and the privilage to be apart of the best alumni in the world. WHOOP, Fighting Texas Aggies Class of 2009.
