OK..... every since I was a sophomore in H.S I planned on going to TCU because I was recruited to play football for the horned frogs ( which was awsome for the one year ) but when they were recruiting me what they didnt tell me was if youre not apart of the greek life other than football you would have no social life, even though I tried my hardest everyday to make friends I couldnt because the frats would have parties and if you were not in the frat you could not go.... PERIOD!!! Im an african-american male who grew up middle class not too rich not too poor I came from I high school where my graduating class was 93! I was taught to make friends with everyone my whole life and if your not rich or in greek life at tcu youre a ghost there and all of the football players had baby-momas and wifes so I could only hang around them when their wifes said it was ok!

What im trying to say is please if youre a down to earth male or female and your not rich and youre really not interested in greek life and your not stuck up please save yourself the money! :) Good luck

I came to TCU with the intentions of 1 on 1 class-work and smaller classes. After being here for 2 years, I have realized that this simply does not happen. I have friends that go to A&M, and their class sizes are for the most part the same as mine. This was only one of many let downs. Another factor to consider when coming to TCU is the Snotty (Very Ugly/In The Ghetto)campus. In my whole life, besides SMU, I have never seen a more arrogant group of students who love to spend their Daddy's money. Having money is one thing, but the people here love to flaunt it like no other. Also, if you're not Greek here you are nobody. If my father wasn't a TCU Alum, I would be out of here so fast! The quality of the education you recieve here is in no way what so ever worth the huge amount of money you have to spend to come here. Do your self a favor and go to a University where you like the people and the campus....

There are a lot of good things about TCU, but overall it's not a very good school if your parents don't have a 6-figure income. The financial aid office doesn't like to talk to students and try to help as little as possible. You are expected to check their website daily, just in case you need to fill out some paperwork. They will not notify you if they need a paper signed by you. You will receive notification only after it's overdue. When you have a question about financial aid, you can expect to be sent to the financial services office...then back to financial aid. Then, they'll be very annoyed at you for interrupting their day and give you the common answer to every financial aid problem: "Your parents must have missed a payment." If you don't plan to join a sorority or a frat, you might want to reconsider coming to TCU. Every weekend, the campus is basically empty because everyone leaves for frat and sorority parties. There really aren't any activities on campus for non-Greek students. You need a car at TCU, because there's really nothing to do within walking distance.
