This is a very racist school. If you're not black, don't go here. Many professors, including PhDs, will make comments about other races, and in the business school, a short skirt is extra-credit.

Many students hustle the teachers and the system. Seniors can't spell, write resumes, or think that appropriate business attire means "put in the diamond grill". There have been 2 deaths on campus, one by shooting, because the campus police are too busy flirting with the students. The hoodrats and hoochies from the ghetto hangout on campus, or the parking lots. You can't tell the students from the trash, because everyone dresses like they are going to stand on the corner, or just got out of jail.

Honestly, College is what YOU make of it. The school only plays a minor role in you enjoying yourself. Texas Southern Univ. is a school for kids who want to get a degree. It is not a place for developing your education and all that jazzz. Its just a school to get a degree from. Plus most schools are the same undergraduate wise when it comes to work and course. Many people will speak down about TSU, mainly about the student body. I mean it does kind of look bad but most of the kids are pretty cool you just need to get past the clothes. Most black kids that come from the suburbs go through this culture shock but they probally suck anyway. Academics are not really strong but it gives people a chance to do well in school. Its open admissions, so anyone with desire has a chance to get a degree which is good in my book LOVE LIVE TSYOU

the school is very nice. I like the campus, it is very easy to get ue to. there are lots of things to do at this school. sports events, rallies, frats, and sororities. I am in a cristian fraternity and it has been a great experience. the course work is challenging, but not too hard. it makes me think, but it isn't too taxing for me to get through it. there are some closeminded people, but as a whole the student body is pretty accepting. hte school is definately a bargain for instate students and the student aid is very easy to get, if it is needed. the city of houston always has things to do, so even when there isn't something going on at the campus, there is alwys an activity going on. come to this school, you won't regret it.
