The dorms are full of black mold. I stayed sick all the time because of it. It was my experience that the teachers don't actually teach the curriculum. They give assignments and expect you to figure it out. The Accounting department actually is so bad that some students in my class were so frustrated that they changed majors.

The staff of TSU is completely incompetent. It took a year and a half to get my transferred hours correctly allocated.

Horrible school for engineering majors. The engineering program is AWFUL. There is no where to go for help.. I'm taking Calculus 2 and the math lab could not help me. I came from DFW with a 4.0 transfer, honor's, dean's list, you name it. I get here to continue my engineering program to find out that the majority of the faculty are worthless and horrible at explaining concepts (this applies to 80% of the teachers I have had)

They essentially only have one time slot for every course (at least in math/engineering departments) so if you have work during those hours, OH WELL! Additionally, I have learned more from watching youtube videos by COMPETENT instructors then I ever did sitting in the lectures. These people cannot teach their way out of a paper bag.

Also, surrounding town is boring and depressing. For those of us who are mature students who don't like to drink and party constantly, there is nothing to do. Stephenville has 3 things to offer: Bars, a bowling alley, and a theater that has smaller screens and speakers than my living room... (a dramatization, but you get the point.)The worst mistake of my life was coming here to this school. IF YOUR MAJOR IS ENGINEERING, DON'T GO HERE!!!
