I personally did not attend Texas Tech University but I worked there for 10 years and I would not recommend anyone to be a student there and especially not to work there!!!! And watch out for the College of Human Sciences!!!! From my personal experience, TTU promotes, encourages and even rewards mean, unprofessional and childish behavior when it comes to the people who work there. And if you are not that way, they will get rid of you. They will lie and literally conspire against you until they are able to get rid of you!!!! And yes, TTU does NOT care about their students at all!!!! All they care about is becoming a Tier 1 University. It's extremely pathetic!!!! It's a terrible university and I REALLY would NOT recommend anyone going to school there and ESPECIALLY not working there!!!!!!!!!!

Texas Tech from my first year experience was a living nightmare. The town Lubbock is what I would call a dust bowl and the school a oversized antbed.. It seems like the school does not focus on the students but rather on becoming Tier One in which U of H took it from them in the race. If you happen to be a minoritie the possibillity of making friends can be somewhat slim unless you are an athlete or in a fraturnity. Most of the advisors are crap as well as the faculty in the college of architecture.. All I can do is Thank God that I tranfered to uta.. And to anyone thinking about trying out this school that happens to be a minority, evaluate other options.

Quite Bright
Texas Tech provided a wonderful experience for me. The students and faculty were outstanding. Lubbock is a nice city also. People are friendly and have a good work ethic. Work hard and develop good study habits early. There are people around to help if you need it.
