 | Quite Bright | Don't come to University of Dallas looking for a party. This isn't a party school by any means. On the other hand, if you want a small, intimate school located in a major city, this is a great place to check out. Their art programs are very strong, and many students are involved in one of the extracircular activities or athletic teams. A word of caution though: this school is EXTREMELY Catholic. Not Catholic in the Jesuit sort of way (Gonzaga, Georgetown, Marquette, etc.) but traditionally. Prayers are said in class, the bible is mixed in philosophy classes, etc. Because of this, the students are typically conservative in their morals and values. If you want the liberal college experience I'd avoid this. | Surrounding City: A+, Social Life: C- | | | |

| | Bright | Students deciding to attend the University of Dallas should be careful to fully investigate their possible major. If you are looking into a Fine Art Degree, it is a good school to an extent. We have a core education that is the same for all degree plans, because of this stress can pile up for art majors. For an art major has a large work load outside of the core classes. Another part to be thought about revolves around the actual content of classes, they may seem like busy work in the beginning, but they are taught well and for a purpose. Many students who desire just to create art will find a more enjoyable education at an art academy. Yet, students who travel through the University of Dallas program will be able to create a far more eloquent background to their art work. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: C+ | | | |

| | Quite Bright | Bottom line, the best private university in Texas. The academics are fantastic and the professors really challenge you to THINK , and most importantly, you come out of school knowing how to formulate an argument and to WRITE, which most college students don't learn. Well you know what I mean... I never had any multiple choice tests or anything like that-- plus, with the core cirriculum, even bio majors like myself are forced to take liberal arts classes-something that has served me to this day in my current job. Also, languages are required, as are art/music. And the Rome program.. not some lame study-abroad program through EF Tours or something-- a real campus with real profs and excellent resources. Overall, UD is great. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: C- | | | |
