 | Quite Bright | Don't come to University of Dallas looking for a party. This isn't a party school by any means. On the other hand, if you want a small, intimate school located in a major city, this is a great place to check out. Their art programs are very strong, and many students are involved in one of the extracircular activities or athletic teams. A word of caution though: this school is EXTREMELY Catholic. Not Catholic in the Jesuit sort of way (Gonzaga, Georgetown, Marquette, etc.) but traditionally. Prayers are said in class, the bible is mixed in philosophy classes, etc. Because of this, the students are typically conservative in their morals and values. If you want the liberal college experience I'd avoid this. | Surrounding City: A+, Social Life: C- | | | |

| | Super Brilliant | The quality of education is very good and many professors are excellent. Nevertheless, the small size of some programs is somewhat detrimental due to the overworked professors and their subsequent limited ability to offer advanced coursework. Lastly, the school does not have a high enough profile in certain subjects to give its graduates an edge when it comes to graduate school admissions. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: B- | | | |

| | Average | Look, the UD is a difficult school--not many make it through the four years. (Before you come here, make sure you've looked into the University properly. Sit in on some classes, talk to students and professors. It is hard to get credits transferred as not many schools base themselves in Classical thought.) People are often conservative and have little concern for anything outside their sphere. Course work is demanding and you often feel as if you're accomplishing very little. 98% of the time I was the minority, the Dean of Student life is a joke on a power trip, and so is the President. However, I would not take back these past four years. I was exposed to a completely different method of thought. I learned to WRITE, argue logically, and articulate my ideas in a way that I had never been able to, and met incredibly gifted and kind people. All of the sweat and tears have been completely worth it. It's not an easy time; most people struggle. But you're surrounded by BRILLIANT students and professors who push you to a level you never thought possible. This is not a school for everyone, you have to love to learn and explore. I do not agree with everything my professors stood for, but I respect them because of their goodness and genuine concern for the minds of their students. | Education Quality: A+, Campus Aesthetics: F | | | |
