Positive Negative Neutral Advice
THE University of Houston is not a schoolBiology
THE University of Houston is not a school where you will be successful if you just "go through the motions." Many students who have transferred in from other universities have expressed amazement at the difficulty of the courses. This institution does not believe in spoonfeeding. That is why many of the professors who teach at the University write the textbooks for most other universities.

You must be prepared to learn, study, and take advantage of the resources that the school and community can offer. If you are not you will be wasting your time here. During your years at the University, you will be confronted by new ideas, varying cultures & ethnic groups (with which you may have never had any association), and varying age groups (you may have a child prodigy sitting on your right & and a corporate executive sitting on your left in the same class/lab). If you are not afraid to EARN your college degree (because nothing is given to you here), I believe that you will be very glad to have chosen THE University of Houston. I wish you success in all of your endeavors.

Question
This school has consistently won awards for bothQuite BrightEducation
This school has consistently won awards for both its programs and its innovations in the education arena. We have been recognized as the most well-prepared education students in the South. Houston is a very big, very fun place to live, and the social activities and extra-curriculars are limitless.

Although the campus is in an urban environment, it is very safe. The university recently won some landscaping awards for the campus. Realistically, it is as if you are going to a big park in the city and a University happens to be there.

Question
Get your degree asOther
Get your degree as quickly as possible. Do not waste time. If you are not fully focused on studying, do not go to college. If you decide you did not like the major you graduated from take some time while you work to find out what you want to do and go to Graduate School.
