Yes, UMHB is a smaller university in a small town, but that just makes it easier for you as a student to flourish and get the attention you've paid for. The campus is special and unique. There is a strong Christian presence on the campus, which was a tremendous blessing to me. However, it is in no way crammed down your throat. Although Belton is a small town, it's only an hour away from Austin, and Temple, just up the road, has most things you would need.

go to a fun school. umhb is the school for you only if you plan to attend high school all over again for entirely too much money. Go to umhb only if you like the idea of strict rules and regulations and mandatory church. oh, and partying is strictly forbidden. so if you're the social type, stay far far away. or party hard and get in kicked out. its more entertaining at least.

I loved my years at UMHB. I feel that they helped guide me in the direction I needed to go. The education I receieved there was excellent and I could not have met better friends. The fauclty within the college of business were excellent.

I love this place! I think it's one of the best universities around! The friends I've made thus far I know will be with me for a long time to come. The staff and faculty are welcoming and friendly and the student body is very open and accepting. Some rules are a little too much and seem unecessary, but this is a small matter compared to all of UMHB's good qualities.
