two faced teachers that occupy themselves with gossip and hazing of students, pumping up test scores of favored students, and dismissing students if the gossip circle decides they do not want you in their school, racist against hispanics and latins, do not believe a word that comes out of their mouth because they will change what they said in minutes and are able to do so since they are private, christian only in the marketing scheme, they will shake your hand and stab you in the back with the other, money is the only motivation as the the great texas rip off is for profit

UMHB is an acceptable school You are likely to get out of it as much as you put into it. It is expensive, but there are others that are more so. Generally, while I was there, the social life was relaxed, and more up to you than up to the CAB. The faculty was so-so. There are a lot of classes taught by only one person and there are some teachers that can be downright vindictive, but I would not consider that unique. It does tend to have just enough Christian flavor to make you feel like it might be a very spiritual campus. If that bothers you, don't go there. They are not going to change. In terms of authentic spirituality, it is about like any other "christian college". Don't expect it to be really distinctive. If you want a small school experience, this is it, but don't be fooled into thinking it is some sort of exclusive experience you can only get there.

i was aprehensive about attending the university because of the strict rules but thoroughly enjoyed it. great students, gym facilities etc. i felt safe and happy. johnson hall is great. lovely campus. I applied to usc and got a letter accepting me into the neuroscience program which they do not have at mary hardin. I could not say no.
