I suppose having done some prelimary searching into the type of industries available in the area would have helped me choose a more applicable major. I wasted thousands of dollars on a degree I can't use. Most jobs in the area require a HS education with years of experience preferred over higher education. Basically, my graduate degree over qualifies me for most jobs...and I wind up getting rejected. As for quality...UTSA was not the best school to attend but it was the cheapest...and as always you get what you pay for. Live and learn. I would advise future students to do a search on local industry demands so as not to waste $$ on a degree you will never use and further hurt your chances of landing a decent job. The faculty members are nice, but all of the other workers are rude. The Roadrunner Cafe is a rip off. It is a huge bureaucracy around here. All UTSA is, is a overpriced community college. They are spending tons of money on making the campus pretty, but not any on parking. It seems that they only have enough parking for only half of the students. The professors and nice at least the ones that I have met. Most of the students are from San Antonio or from the surrounding area and they come with their high schools friends and do not really try to meet new people.
