Super Brilliant
It's a great school if you want a job after you are out. If you say I'm an engineer from UT you have the job. Thaqt's what I hear at least. I also say get involved because it is a huge campus!! But with larger classes,go to the office hours and T.A. sessions, they help!! There is always something to do in Austin, it's wonderful. But of course, remember to study!!!! UT is the BEST of the best, I couldn't see myself anywhere else.

Bright
As far as out-of-college employment goes, for most programs of study, there is little point in nit-picking between equal-Tier schools. ie... in Engineering, it makes little difference whether one goes to Georgia Tech, Virgina Tech, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan, etc etc etc In the geosciences, there is a cluster of schools that are heads-and-shoulders above all others: Texas, Texas A&M, (Colorado) School of Mines, and Oklahoma.
