Acceptance rate of UTEP is TOO DAMN HIGH! Undergraduate courses are jam packed with unmotivated students wanting to leave early. It is a continuation of high school, with some professors giving out grades for attendance purposes only.

If you are fluent in spanish and english that is beneficial. If you are all american english and nothing more then i wouldn't waste my money.Parking here is outrageously expensive. tuition seems to go up all the damn time. class schedules are not block scheduling. Some classes you pay for, you attend the class and then are assigned online homework. I am seeing this more and more in the Engineering and math departments. This is a lazy way for professors to grade. Budget cuts all over the Engineering department have cut down on the really good professors with the exception of 3 or 4 left.
Friendliness: B, Useful Schoolwork: F
