The Sudent Senate laughed at me when I raised concerns. I never had a voice at this school.
I was pushed back into elevators by employees of the school. I was dismissed as a liar, making things up.

I was sexually assaulted while being a student worker. Nothing was done when I reported it.
When I wanted to speak to any of my professors during their office hours, they weren't in their offices. They weren't there during their posted office hours.

I was in one club and they treated me like I didn't belong. The faculty advisor style this and did nothing. This club is hurting for women and when one joins, you tell her you don't care about what she has to say. You ignore her.

If you are a woman, do not go to this school if you have a choice. Unfortunately, my parents didn't let me pick my university.

Their "Falcon Promise" is fake. If you are getting financial aid, then you get the promise. I made less than the advertised threshold and I met all requirements, minus recieving financial aid, and I was denied. It is the Falcon Lie.If I could go back, I wouldn't go to this sexist, narcissist filled school.

The University of Texas of the Permian BasinQuite BrightGeography and Geosciences
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is a school that is designed for the casual student who is working and already fairly set in a career. The faculty generally friendly but become very self absorbed when confronted with a student who has interest other than the professor. You get the usual old talk about that is what professors do and how they have done it for a very long time. However, they completly miss the fact that this is now not 30 or 40 years ago and that students are considerably different in all respects now than they were even 20 years ago. The geoscience program has NO opportunity to do anything that is of real value to the students but yet the professors are constantly trying to get students 'involved'. That involvement only goes as far as needed for the professors to secure a grant to make the administration happy. In short UTPB is a waste of time and money.

The professors seem to want classrooms full ofQuite BrightMath
The professors seem to want classrooms full of prodigies and anyone who does not measure up to their expectations get minimal assistance. The financial aid office is uncooperative and confusing, but the registrars office is very helpful. In fact, the registrars office is the most helpful and efficient office in the entire university. The university administration is has spent millions on things that stand out but refuses to increase parking which has become a serious problem with students being forced to park on the road around the campus exposing them to traffic in areas improperly lighted.
