| Bright | I'm not from Utah. I had no clue about Mormons. I thought they all went to BYU. I was wrong. The school is probably about 80% Mormon. Most are strict, and few aren't. Very closed minded people for the most part. The school from an educational standpoint has been very good for me. The social life for me has just been terrible. I've met good friends but it's still hard to be surrounded by Mormons ALL the time. It is something that can't be described. You have to really experience it. No one drinks, smokes, or has sex. Very Very strict kids around here. There are a lot foreigners from particularly China and the Dominican Republic. They are very cliqie though. I have a had a decent time here at USU. It's my second year. I would like to transfer though. I would advise anyone that is Mormon to go here and anyone who isn't Mormon, to try somewhere else. | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Individual Value: D+ | | | |

| Quite Bright | I have been going here for a few months now and I really dislike it, it's incredibly hard to make friends. I live in a building where it is predominately mormon and they are just so boring and ALL THE SAME. Really though, it is crazy, they are all the same, with their over friendly personalities which only want to associate themselves with other close minded mormons. I am obviously not mormon but I am open to hanging out and getting to know anyone but they are so brain washed all of them mostly talk about the guys they barely have even gotten to know, whom they are going to marry (that is their highest priority). I am so bored, there is no college night life, and I dont just mean NO ONE drinks but there are no "get togethers", nothing. its just so boring, I can not try and convey that enough. You wont get a "college experience" here just the school trying to make you buy as much "USU" things as possible. boring. the classwork is ok i guess, mostly just taking notes and then exams on 3 chapters after a few weeks, you honestly dont even need to go to class, they teach right from the book, its more helpful to actually read it yourself and take notes, they literally just mirror the book. ah. | Scholastic Success: A+, Social Life: F | | | |
