For the price of tuition/living, etc. BYU has got to be one of the best schools in the U.S. The business school and law school are among the best in the nation, and by far the cheapest.

Super Brilliant
BYU is great. There are so many great and interesting classes to take, especially in the honors program. Next semester, there is a class on Tolkien. And the language program is amazing. I really love it her. My one complaint: the math department is not that great. The teaching(in the one class I have taken so far)is shoddy, and the textbooks written by the faculty that we use are indecipherable. If you are going to major in math, I would rethink BYU. Otherwise, BYU is great.

Quite Bright
You must take into consideration that this is a private religious university, and quite large. There are over 30,000 students here, so it is easy to feel lost. Overall, however, people are friendly and approachable -- if you are willing to make an effort at this school you will get incredible benefits. Tuition is not very high for the education you are getting. It isn't that hard to get good grades because most teachers don't make it a competition with fellow classmates. The college hometown atmosphere could use a little work, but the college itself tries to create a strong community (if you can find it!)
