We wasted valuable time reading and discussing irrelevant management models that have been far exceeded by time, creativity and global diversification. I graduated in 2000, perhaps, things may have changed. I certainly hope so. My advice: go to the best possible school that accepts you. Looks is not what makes a college. It is an old college and the older parts need some renovating. The dorm Fugate and the apartments have high speed internet as well as many of the CPU labs. Small college. Most kids came here for sports, aviation, or equestrian. I like it here overall, sport games are fun to go to. They really get into the game "Blue Crew". if you go to a basketball game you will know where the blue crew is the whole time. Innovation: A+, Education Quality: F Have a Question? It took them almost 3 years to build the student center (one building)... that's insane. I was in their Computer Science program and I was misled when I came to this school... Don't make the same mistake that I did! There isn't even internet access in the dorms! It's dial-up... what a joke. Also, the year I came there, the football team tripled in size... meaning almost every guy you meet is a football player... The best part about Averett is their faculty. All the proffessors are very eager to help anyone, their doors seems like they are always open. At Averett, you don't feel like just a number, all the proffessors know you by name. Averett is located in a small city where there is not much to do, but there are may campus activities going on all the time. I encourage anyone who considers Averett they should visit the campus, the campus isn't that nice but it's not that bad either. Faculty Accessibility: A+, Social Life: D- Have a Question?
