I loved E&H. It is an acqured taste though. I came from a small high school. When I toured places like VA Tech it felt so inpersonal. I loved the small classes. I even had a couple of teachers check up on me if I miss class. Great staff. E&H is a dry campus and not co-ed, but I still had plenty of fun.

Even after my gradution in 2000 I am still in contact with some of my college professors.

As an out of state student, one of the main reasons I came from Ohio to Virginia to go to college was to participate in another culture. Not only have I found a southern atmosphere, i have found the type of diversity I was looking for too. While E&H students are prodominatly from VA and TN, the small campus allow the minority of students from other states to both stick out, and blend in.
I was also looking for a acadeimic enviroment where the goal of the professors was to help the students learn. I have bee overjoyed with the quality of the teaching staff at E&H, they are continually supportive and willing to spend large amounts of time outside of class going over anything. Also, there is a continual push for the undergraduate students to think about and participate in reacearch, which is always a good thing.
