I am a pharmacy major. To all pharmacy majors DO NOT ome to hampton university. the school has almost lost its accreditation. At the beginning of this semester the bookstore did not even have the required textbooks. Weeks later they arrived two of my books were 200 each. The teachers dumb down the work because the students are lazy and cheat. I was surprised to see that even in college students have fist fights in the cafeteria and act as if they are forced to get an education.

I first came from a majority black high school, BUT coming to Hampton was a total shock. Even though it is a HBCU most of the students come from majority white schools. They acted a little differently than expected. Some try to go so hard and clearly they are not. Some of the females are a little on the snooty side but most are just talk. Hampton is exactly what you make it. It can be so fun then so boring. The main reason why many stay is just to have the name Hampton University on their diploma.
