Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Be aware that exterior behavior is of utmostQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
Be aware that exterior behavior is of utmost importance to a students' ability to stay enrolled at LU. LU has a disciplinary system that assigns repremands for being late to convocation (listening to Jerry Falwell 3 times a week is manditory) to having an abortion. These cost money as well, tacked on to your tuition bill. Enough reps and you are out.

Telling on other students is rewarded at LU. Not telling can get you expelled. No tuition insurance, either. After 3 weeks no regunds.

I'd heard a lot of negative stuff aboutQuite BrightReligion/Religious
I'd heard a lot of negative stuff about Jerry Falwell so I didn't quite know what to expect on relocating here from Orlando, FL in 2002. After listening to him speak at least once a week for 3 years, I have a very favorable opinion of him for his character, care for students and willingness to solve problems that come up. I've found that a significant number of the black students on campus are being paid for by LU financing. That is a very positive thing for diversity on campus.

Question
I came to Liberty because it was theBrightUndecided
I came to Liberty because it was the only college that I applied to out of state. It was one of the worst decisions i have made. Students at Liberty fall into 1 of 3 categories: 1. they came to Liberty to become a Pastor, 2. they came to Liberty because they couldnt get in anywhere else (if you have any type of brain activity you can get into Liberty), 3. their parents forced them to go to a Christian college for whatever reasons and they end up at Liberty. Most people here at Liberty are closed-minded. Manyy of the seniors have been so guarded throughout their education from High School through College that they won't know how to deal with real world situations that they encounter in life. Jerry Falwell wants to increase enrollment as much as he can before he dies. At first this sounds good, but as one looks into it more, it is a very negative thing. I know someone who wrote the same essay for all of the colleges he applied to. He sent the wrong essay to Liberty. He sent an essay to Liberty talking about how much he wanted to get into George Mason University. He was accepted into Liberty even though that huge mistake was made. Anyone can get into Liberty. The town of Lynchburg is incredibly boring, there is no nightlife, let alone daylife. Although the incredibly boring atmosphere allows students to focus on working out more though. You may leave Liberty in better shape than you arrived. The classes are not challening in any respect. The college requires students to take loads of Bible courses, which is sunday school all over again. If you want to have a college experience, do not come to Liberty. And if you are currently attending Liberty, transfer, it will be for your benefit. If you want the guarded and sheltered atmosphere which cuts you off from the outside world (ie: no cable TV) in order to become a pastor, come to Liberty. That is all.
