 | Bright | Despite a lot of negative comments the school is ok. Faculty seem concerned and are very approachable, however there is little room for debate on anything that they do not endorse.Despite claiming to be pro constitution, if you speak your mind be prepared to suffer a little. This school is a Bible based college so I guess that explains it, but I would like to see a little more debate. | Perceived Campus Safety: A-, Surrounding City: F | | | |

| | Not so bright | Advertises as a world class university(I always crack up when I hear that). Tough to get a real job after college when no one outside of the liberty bubble respects the academics. I believe a previous poster who stated she got a 700 on the SAT and another that stated she had a 1.5 gpa , but now has 4.0 sum up the academic environment. Great school though if you just want a solid christian education though. | Surrounding City: A, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Bright | Liberty University is what you make of it. You will get the education you put into it. I would advise incoming students to consider what they want and create a plan for themselves. The academic advisors may not be all that helpful. I would suggest searching LU's website and reviewing their faculty before taking courses. If you are careful, you can very well have one of the best educations uner the best professors in the world - literally. Unfortunately, if you just "go with the flow", you cn equally receive a "pointless" education. As a staff member and student of LU, I can say that the politics of e even the higher authorities is disappointing at times, and can be very discouraging when I see how poorly the money is managed, nd how the school is becoming a "factory-style: number" university, inthat the school is becoming too big for itself. The students are becoming numbers. However, at the same time, the professors do genuinely care and pray for you: thi is a Christian school, if you dislike the prayer factor, go home. Again, putting in what you want to receive is key, i.e. if you want to learn more and be known as a person, the professors make it their priority to talk to you individually during the office hours. As far as the student life, there does to seem to be a mediocre, false Christianity as much as there are students who truly love the Lord. It is hat you make of it. Regardless of those around you, what do you act like? Your commitment to Christ is not contingent upon others' commitment, if it is, then you are no different, in fact maybe even a little worse. Overall I would say this school is average, I must admit I had high hopes and was let down, but I have grown and learned (but I put forth the necessary effort in previewing the professors first). Liberty does need to change their priorities, from numbers and money, to spiritual growth, but again this is a liberal arts school primarily, and thn a Christian school... and they do accept just about everyoe, but you didn't have to apply. | Friendliness: A+, Surrounding City: D | | | |
