Please, please , please read the other reviews before you come here. This school does nothing but take your money. I got more experience and knowledge from high school. Yes the student body is small, but that doesn't mean they can't invest any time/money into making the college experience a better place. I can speak for many students who don't know where the tuition goes here. The only benefit I can see in coming here is if you do want small classes...but there are many other small colleges that offer so much more for the money. I'm finally leaving and couldn't be happier. Come visit this school on a day when they aren't giving tours and ask the students how they feel. You'll get the true picture.

I am just finishing my freshman year here at MBC and I have hated it. I am transferring after this year. I would say before you make a decsision really look at the size, its only 700, and the type of people. For me these are the reasons I am leaving.

Super Brilliant
Unless you are here for PEG, VWIL, or ADP, I have no idea why anyone would choose this college. The statistics that make this school seem selective and elite are completely false. Basically, they spend all their money and energy on making it seem amazing, rather than allocating those same resources on improving their institution. The campus is falling apart, the food is a very small step above a high school cafeteria, and very little scholarship money is given out. As for academics, many classes are taught in a discussion-based format. This would be wonderful, except it's difficult to have a productive discussion when the overwhelming majority of the student body is rather dim. That's not to say that you can't do well for yourself at Baldwin. But if you are applying here as a traditional student, there's definitely a better option for you. A word to rising PEGs: by all means take the opportunity to attend college early, but transfer out of here! You can sign on for college without chaining yourself to Baldwin.
