The biggest learning in the Chemical Engineering programChemical Engineering
The biggest learning in the Chemical Engineering program is problem solving. The confidence to dive into a problem and work until you solve it. As far as what to do to prepare while you're in high school... all of the same stuff. Get good grades, be active, do well on your SATs. If you're going into Chemical Engineering, be prepared to work very hard. The rewards on the other end are worth it though.. you will be compensated well, and you will have many options available to you from teaching to pure engineering to grad school.

Question
VT was a wonderful place to spend 5Mechanical Engineering
VT was a wonderful place to spend 5 years at. The atmosphere was awesome (21 bars in less than a mile with AT (appalacian trail) at your back door), sporting events were #1 and my education was full on intensive learning. The best way to achieve what you want at a university this size is go out and get it. You are your own person and have to remember no one will do it for you. GO HOKIES!!!

Question
Great environment.BrightElectrical Engineering
Great environment. I came from a large city (DC) and thought the small city would suck. Turns out, city is small but it's basically all students so they cater to you. Great views and I love going back to BBurg.
