When you start out at Mount Mary College, you LOVE being in nursing school...once you get to Columbia College of Nursing for the last two years, you feel like you are being hazed for a sorority. Students are treated like guinea pigs as the program changes from semester to semester as does the GPA and grading scale requirements. It was an exhausting place to be on a daily basis. Mount Mary College is a fantastic college and an amazingly warm and encouraging environment. After your sophomore year you transition to Columbia College of Nursing (CCON). CCON has an extremely competitive/condescending/unorganized feel every single day. I have never met one student who loved being there.
