I read the review about fees, and didn'tQuite BrightComputer Science
I read the review about fees, and didn't believe it. So I went to look through their website and here's what I found; it really looks like this school runs as a modern day greedy business versus an institution for the students. I was actually a little surprised at the list of fees I found on their website, as well as some interesting info that makes them really look like they are a business versus student focused. The following list is all copied and pasted directly from

Application Processing Fee $30.00
Health Services Fee
Activity Fee
5.5% of per-credit tuition rate
On-line Course Fees
$10.00/credit with $10.00 as the minimum
Public Safety Fee (starting 2016 Fall term) $3.00 per credit with a maximum of $45.00
1. Enroll for $25 per plan. No down payment required.
2. Pay online using debit card, credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or bank account.
3. Enrollment fee charged or withdrawn within two business days.

Payments may be withdrawn from bank accounts up to two business days AFTER the payment withdrawal date. A late fee of $30 is applied to any missed payments. Students are responsible for paying any monies owed to CVTC.

A $100 non-refundable late fee is assessed if the account is not paid in full or a payment option is not completed after the start of the semester.

CVTC will attach a $30.00 fee to any Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) paper or electronic check returned from your bank because of insufficient funds, closed account status, or incorrect account number.

CVTC utilizes two services to collect past due accounts:
? Accounts may be turned over to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Taxpayer Refund Intercept Program (TRIP)

? Accounts may be turned over to a commercial collection agency. Active collection efforts by an agency can have a negative effects on personal credit ratings. Additional costs may be accessed by the collection agency.

This is simply an "okay " school.BrightNursing
This is simply an "okay " school. I agree with the comment on fees. This school is "fee happy." The campus security is an unnecessary expense. CVTC is in the heart of the city and the police are there in no time, plus the security can't do much anyway. If there is an actual issue they have to notify the police. They are only there so this greedy school can collect parking tickets. The teachers are decent but not always the friendliest a1nd I think they treat students different based on ability as well. I transferred out to NWTC in Green Bay and I would say if you compare the two-this college earns an "F." NWTC in green bay is actually student friendly with legitimate online courses and many classes that run consecutive on a daily basis. You can take A&P in the morning, another class during the day and Chemistry in the afternoon. All in one day instead of scattered all over the week like this school does. People need to work, and this school is more interested in taking your money instead of finding a way to make education convenient for students. All in all I probably wouldn't waste my time if I had it to do over gain. They have great gains to make to be a truly student friendly school.

This school will fee you to death!BrightNursing
This school will fee you to death! You want to park here? Sure 70 bucks a semester even though their are 300 open parking spots! Going to be late with a payment (Because you are a student and money is tight?) Sure but we won't work with you but we WILL charge you for that too! Want help because you are disabled? Don't expect a call back from them! Green Bay and Wausau Techs don't charge parking fees and they have the same amount of open parking. This school is ridiculous! They have the "The UW system does it so can we!" attitude. And if your a returning adult that will actually stick up for yourself and your fellow students, good luck-they will treat you like garbage because you have the gull to stand up for yourself instead of being looked down upon because the administration thinks they are better than you. this really is a bunch of egocentric self absorbed staff who look down on the students (the younger ones especially) Professors can be demeaning and it is blatantly obvious if they don't like a student- I don't even think they try to hide it most of the time. Luckily my grades are decent and I don't have much of an issue, but I certainly feel for the students that struggle because you can tell they are treated different. Poor completion rates and retention rates should definitely tell you something about this school!
