It took me five years plus a semester of student teaching to finish. Most of my friends that are teachers finished at other schools in four and a half. They also have a lot fewer loans than I do. The upper level classes are never offered as promised and independent studies are a joke. Not to mention my student teaching placement was just awful. The classes are taught at a substandard level and left me at a disadvantage in my field. I would of been better off saving my money and going to a state school.
