Question
My worst experience in this school is aboutMay 08 2012Engineering Department
My worst experience in this school is about research and working with international office (ISSS). The ISSS are extremely irresponsible and racist. They do whatever they can to kick the students out of the country. I would love to find an opportunity to explain it to the authorities how they gave me the false advice and wasted lot of my time and jeopardized my future. They just don't care. I think if the school wants to bring international students in first of all should change the main people in ISSS . I am pretty sure they can be the main reason that most of the international students are so frustrated at this school. Please help us to get rid of this people. they are the most cruel people that do the most unfair things to the students. They are the main reasons that I am writing this review. Please do a survey and you find out yourself.

Question
Strong Christian religious biasMar 03 2010School of Information
Strong Christian religious bias in the LIS program, staffed mostly by ex-preachers, theologians, and missionaries. A private Evangelical program concealed within an otherwise good public institution.

The university research is going up.

There are several proposed university projects, such as the $150 million Innovation Park that will house UWM?s engineering college, a $50 million School of Freshwater Sciences, a $75 million UWM integrated research complex on East Kenwood Boulevard, the acquisition of the Columbia Hospital site adjacent to the UWM campus for up to $31 million and a new $40 million School of Public Health at The Brewery development owned by Milwaukee developer Joseph Zilber.

Question
In the UW system there always is UW-MadisonMay 04 2005Mechanical Engineering
In the UW system there always is UW-Madison. I did my undergraduate there and came to UW-Milwaukee, there is definetly a difference. But it is not like the other UW schools that seem more like an upgraded tech school. UWM is a serious school, just not an A-Tier school like UW-Madison. My professors know what they are talking about and are very intense in passing that knowledge on. Some of the same books were used here and at UW-Madison. Madison just has more competetion, I always say it as at Madison, they are not afraid to flunk you because someone is always ready to take your place.I saw one Milwaukee School of Engineering student's text book for "Heat Transfer" and almost laughed out loud. The book was more simple than my thermodynamics book at Madison. Milwaukee has a huge step up on the other UW schools(besides Madison) and MSOE.
