My experience at ABC was very positive. The small college setting was family-like instead of being a number which happens on large campuses. The faculty had a personal interest in the students as individuals and were readily available to help with any academic or spiritual questions. I grew in many areas: socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
My concern is that in more recent years, the college has taken more of a secondary separation viewpoint. Over time this has caused a condescending attitude toward association with any churches and missions that think "outside the box". Another concern is the general attitude that the only true service for Christ is in full-time Christian ministry. The Lord uses people in "secular" work as well as Christian ministry - both are necessary. Although I am in full-time Christian service at this time, I believe that one is not better than the other. The Lord has called Christians to serve in either field.
I still treasure my experiences at ABC and know that the Lord continues His work through ABC students/graduates. I hope that these two areas of concern will become balanced as we look to Christ's example and His attitude toward others.
