Tech has a very friendly campus, probably one of the most friendliess in WV. Tech's a good college for first time college students. There's not much to do on campus but that could also be a good thing that way you dont get caught up in too much of the party life. Although you probably will a little bit your first year until you get really serious about college. I wouldnt adivse ANYONE to live in the Ratliff Hall dorms. I lived there last semmester and it's terrible. it's not worth the money you have to pay to live there thats for sure. You cant control your own room temperature. So it's like 90 degrees at times and even if you have fans it dont help one bit, you cant even sleep sometimes because of the temperatures. Alos in the winter sometimes the heat wont work and it'll get so cold. So I would advise ANYONE to live in the Co-ed dorms. If you dont then you will regret it!

The degree I earned there was insturmental in obtaining all the positions I've had since graduation. In that thirty five years I was only unemployed for one day.I wish that I had taken more advantage of the opportunities, both educational and social, that were available to me while there.
