Tech's Civil Engineering program was vry difficult and it's reputation as being a good school is known in the region. Employers seek Tech grads and know that when they ire a Tech grad that they are getting a quality engineer.

I attended WVIT as a freshman and intended to possibly transfer to WVU or VT later to finish. After getting to WVIT, getting into a Co-op program in Mech. Eng'r, and getting involved in a couple of groups on campus, I had no desire to transfer. WVIT prepared me well with a practical engineering degree that enabled me to succees at each job I had. Yes, Montgomery never was New York City, but it was not that far to Charleston or Beckley. College is what you make it. If you are looking for a party school, then WVIT was not your school, but if you wanted to earn a degree and prepare yourself for the wold, then it was fine!

Tech prepares you to do a multitude of things in Engineering. I was fortunate enough to coop with the company that I went to work for as well. The class size was not so big that you could not stop by and ask a professor a question. When I did my Masters at Univ. of Missouri I missed this a great deal. I still keep in touch with my friends from Tech. Great Value for a Great Education.
